Heather Martin - When Are You Coming Home

6 year old Heather Martin sings a song that her mother wrote for her Brother Shaun who is serving in Iraq. The song is written from Heather's point of view.

Lyrics

You were almost sixteen when I came into the world.
Mom and Dad had you first then 3 more boys I'm the baby girl.
I sure have a lot to look up to in you, you're really smart and funny with a big heart too.
After one year of college you knew what you had to do.
It's just like you wanting to help with the war.
So you joined the army when I was only 4.
This time of year we talk of big plans but you're over seas in some distant land.
You can't be here for Christmas, I don't understand.
Chorus:
When are you coming home, Shaun?
When are you coming home?!
We lit up the house like we always do but it doesn't seem bright 'cause we can't have you.
In my prayers I ask God to keep you safe.
And I'm trying to be really brave.
Tell me that the fighting's through.
Come home!
I really miss you.

It's hard to enjoy the holidays without you.
But we're so proud of you and all the red white and blue.
Remember that Jesus is your best friend,
And someday our families will be together again.
Wow! You know we'll have a great big party then.

Chorus

I want to show you how tall I've grown and introduce you to my new friends at school.
Maybe we could go and get some ice cream together but I really don't care what we do.

from wiwi 版权 : ellegirl.co.kr

Elle

A nice one I would say. Great Idea!

"JOBS GO TO CHINA"
But dont you guys know how much those chinese worker get pay every month? A chinese worker works for Apple in china only get 700RMB(less than $100 US) per month.

Who they can complaint to?

Complaints Choir of Birmingham

"Why does my computer take so very long?
Why can't the bus driver talk to anyone
And why is the beer so expensive in town?

I want my money back,
My job is like a cul-de-sac,
And the bus is too infrequent at 6.30.

Why don't they pay me more?
Life was good before
And I am thirsty."

Infernal Affairs无间道vs. The Departed

I just watched the hit movie "The Departed" last Sat. For somebody who walks into the theater with so-so expectations might be pleased, but who knows the Hong Kong original masterpiece "Infernal Affairs" (which is a 3-film episode originally)and expects something along that quality, is being deeply disappointed.

The two movies look very similar to each other. Exactly the same story, the same plot, the same people, even the same climax. When you look at them more closer, however, you discover the differences.
The Departed certainly has these American-style violence and language, some sex (which seems necessary in any Hollywood crime film), and more famous cast & crews. And that's about it. -_-"
'Infernal affairs'is more complicated, character development was better, and it was more intense. Andy Lau and Tony Leung was awesome duel, intense, strategic and analytical performance.
The tension of 'Departed' is not as much as the original one, though it seems good enough to earn praise from the critics. It did not build up the entangled bounds between different roles as complicatedly as Infernal Affairs. The Departed is not a bad film, though. If you have never seen the Hongkongese Infernal Affairs, then you might actually be pleased to see The Departed. But if you have seen the original one, like myself ,then you might feel the same as I do, that Hollywood is not only running out of original ideas but also losing talents to make them better.

Why didnt "Infernal Affairs" hit the american market couple yrs ago, huh???

A guy posted a msg on the web :"SLR Cams or Boobies For the Wifey... that is the ?"

Look all these comments he got:

"boobies FTW and before and after pics please!!!"

"SLR Cams"

"In order to be helpful, please post some pictures of the wife in question so that we can better assess her "stock" condition."

"Dood, this is a no brainer. Your comparing a piece of metal to your wife. Get your wife the boobs, she will look great, and you will be exremely happy. The car is a material piece of crap. This is your girl here! Just post pics once its done so I can get a new background"

" Josh, get her the boobies, you'll be a happier man. Been there, done that."

"I was just joshin' with you man, trust me I'm 100% there with you. My girlfriend has more silicone in her than my pool toys."
"(.)(.) --> ( . ) ( . ) dude, it's a no brainer. "

"def the BOOOOOOOBIES!!!!"

"What??? Why are you even thinking about it??? Heck.. Even I say forget the SLR cams.. Get the Boobies!"

"My father gave me the best advice years ago before I got married........He said that before I make any large purchase's for myself to make sure I bought my wife something of equal value.Get the wifey some fun sacks, then get the cams!"

I have nothing to say now......

This is a super super super funny movie!!!! I found myself lagging up with laughter, I was still laughing from a previous joke, when another funny scene would hit. But not everybody will buy Mr.Cohan's humor I think. If you appreciate humor that unforgivingly pushes the envelope on very sensitive issues, then this movie is definatly for you. On the other hand, if you are offended by any form of religous, racist, sexist, gay, and even pedophile humor, save your ten dollars and go see The Santa Clause movie.

My favourite --DIXIE CHICKS

On stage at a 2003 London concert, Natalie Maines, lead singer of Texan trio the Dixie Chicks, spoke these 15 words to a small audience at the start of their sold-out international tour: "Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas." The comment was delivered on the eve of the American invasion of Iraq, and drew cheers from the decidedly anti-war and anti-Bush British.
The Dixie Chicks were criticized by the american media and american public for voicing their opinions.

Dixie Chicks

Artist/Band: Dixie Chicks
Lyrics for Song: Not Ready To Make Nice
Lyrics for Album: Taking The Long Way

Forgive, sounds good.
Forget, I'm not sure I could.
They say time heals everything,
But I'm still waiting

I'm through, with doubt,
There's nothing left for me to figure out,
I've paid a price, and i'll keep paying

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

I know you said
Why can't you just get over it,
It turned my whole world around
and i kind of like it

I made by bed, and I sleep like a baby,
With no regrets and I don't mind saying,
It's a sad sad story
That a mother will teach her daughter
that she ought to hate a perfect stranger.
And how in the world
Can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they'd write me a letter
Saying that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

Forgive, sounds good.
Forget, I'm not sure I could.
They say time heals everything,
But I'm still waiting

Lyrics for Song: Easy Silence
Lyrics for Album: Taking The Long Way
When the calls and conversations
Accidents and accusations
Messages and misperceptions
Paralyze my mind

Busses, cars, and airplanes leaving
Burning fumes of gasoline
And everyone is running
And I come to find a refuge in the

Easy silence that you make for me
It's okay when there's nothing more to say to me
And the peaceful quiet you create for me
And the way you keep the world at bay for me
The way you keep the world at bay

Monkeys on the barricades
Are warning us to back away
They form commissions trying to find
The next one they can crucify

And anger plays on every station
Answers only make more questions
I need something to believe in
Breathe in sanctuary in the

Easy silence that you make for me
It's okay when there's nothing more to say to me
And the peaceful quiet you create for me
And the way you keep the world at bay for me
The way you keep the world at bay

Children lose their youth too soon
Watching war made us immune
And I've got all the world to lose
But I just want to hold on to the

Easy silence that you make for me
It's okay when there's nothing more to say to me
And the peaceful quiet you create for me
And the way you keep the world at bay for me

The easy silence that you make for me
It's okay when there's nothing more to say to me
And the peaceful quiet you create for me
And the way you keep the world at bay for me
The way you keep the world at bay for me
The way you keep the world at bay
